Hannah G Solomon Women of the Year Award Brunch in Rochester
NCJW of Greater Rochester honored Mary Andrecolich-Montesano-Diaz the founder and Principal of the Rochester International Academy with the 2018 Hannah G. Solomon Women of the Year award. This incredible school takes in refugees and immerses them in English classes and cultural assimilation classes while still teaching children to embrace their culture and heritage. At the event, Andrecolich-Montesano-Diaz shared her story of growing up in a low-income family and fighting for her own educational opportunities.
