The Supreme Court has already begun its 2024-25 term, hearing cases that will deeply impact our communities, rights, and future. What’s on the docket and what cases are waiting in the wings? Join National Council of Jewish Women and The Leadership Conference Education Fund for “Courts and Consequences: The New Supreme Court Term,” a Courts Matter virtual gathering on October 22 from 12-1 PM ET. We will focus on some of the cases already on the docket — from gun violence to transgender rights to economic justice — as well as other civil and human rights cases that might be heard this term. In addition, we will address some of the broader issues at the Court and ways we can all work towards the day our judiciary will protect and advance the rights of all of us.
We are thrilled to be joined by Mark Joseph Stern, senior writer covering courts and the law for Slate magazine and author of American Justice 2019: The Roberts Courts Arrives. Mark is one of the leading court watchers in the country, and we are excited to welcome him and all of you to this special program.
