Demand equal pay!
Sixty years after the landmark 1963 Equal Pay Act became law, women earn only 82 cents for every dollar earned by men — and the gap is much wider for women of color. The Paycheck Fairness Act (HR 17/S 728), introduced by Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), would deter wage discrimination by updating and strengthening the Equal Pay Act. Bicameral passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act is crucial in ensuring equal pay and work for all Americans.
