Message from NCJW President Nancy Ratzan

Nancy RatzanNCJW has a Vision for America — a vision of social justice for all. Washington Institute is a powerful opportunity to turn our progressive ideals into action. It is an extraordinary opportunity for all NCJW members and supporters to come together from around the country to make an impact on our nation’s leaders. Only once every three years does our collective voice echo with such resonance in the corridors of power, speaking out for progressive social change to our nation’s leaders on Capitol Hill and in the White House. Bethere to make our collective voices heard — to pursue the kind of progressive social change we seek — to be the change we wish to see in the world!

We are particularly excited about this Washington Institute 2010(WIX) because so many of the issues NCJW leads on are at the fore and so many allies in Washington are ready to meet with, hear from, and work with us. Join us in Washington, DC, to help us launch our newest campaign focused on ending violence against women by improving the economic status of women. Hear about what’s really happening inside-the-beltway directly from high-level administration and congressional leaders. Learn about how the courts are affecting our rights and freedoms and how we can engage in protecting our most fundamental rights. Explore the progress being made on issues that impact the needs of women and girls. Join your NCJW colleagues on the Hill as we visit members of Congress and lobby for public policy that will change lives and ensure social justice for all. And join us as we celebrate our champions by paying tribute to the recipients of NCJW’s Women Who Dared and Social Action Awards.

Washington Institute is an unequalled opportunity for you to take action and effect change. Whether you are devoted to volunteering, grassroots advocacy or other community work, Washington Institute is for you.
